AussieScout is run by Ed Summers from Melbourne, Australia. This page explains what we collect, who can see it and how to have it removed. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we record about coaches

To protect athletes, we keep a record of what every signed in college coach does on AussieScout: searches, which profiles they view, when they see contact details and when they download a school report. Only AussieScout staff can see this record. We use it to spot misuse and to answer questions from families, and we can pause any coach account.

Search engines

Public profiles of athletes 15 and over can appear in search engines like Google. Profiles of under 15s are marked so search engines leave them out. Date of birth, contact details and school reports are never on public pages.

Site statistics

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and measure how fast pages load. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites.

Under 15s

If an athlete is under 15, their profile stays hidden until a parent or guardian approves it by email. Athletes aged 15 to 17 can publish their own profile. A parent who approves or creates a profile can edit or hide it at any time, and only a parent can make a profile public again after a parent hides it.

Where it is stored

Profiles are stored with Supabase. Emails are sent through Resend. Both are service providers who handle data on our behalf.

Hiding or deleting a profile

You can hide a profile at any time from your account. To delete a profile and everything in it, email hello@aussiescout.com from the email you sign in with and we will do it within 7 days.

Questions or complaints

Email hello@aussiescout.com. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
